Security and Fire Alarm Technician Job Responsibilities:

As one of our Alarm Technicians you will be providing quality installation services by establishing a rapport with our customers.

Your specific duties include:

  • Installation, Service, repair and maintenance of commercial and residential Fire, Security, Access, Video, and other low voltage systems
  • Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis
  • Instructing customer in use of equipment
  • Ensuring that documentation is properly completed and submitted.
  • Use of Company Vehicle

Qualifications:

As one of our Alarm Technicians, you must be a highly motivated individual with solid technical skills and a strong work ethic. You must also be detail-oriented, organized, analytical and possess excellent decision-making skills.

Specific requirements/ qualifications for the position include:

  • 3 years minimum experience installing/servicing security, fire, access, and camera systems
  • High Diploma or GED
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Commitment to safety
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • High enthusiasm, fun, and a positive attitude
  • Computer and networking skills are needed.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand and power tools.

  • Knowledge of Genetec, Axis, DMP, Edwards, Exacqvision, DSX, Honeywell, and Vigilant is a plus.

Tele-Plus Corporation is currently seeking a Service Dispatcher.

The primary function of the Service Dispatcher is to answer inbound phone calls, receive and open service orders, schedule service visits with customers. This position will also include clerical duties.

Applicants for this position must be able to multi-task and maintain a high level of organization.

Applicants need to be self-motivated and be able to deal with occasional difficult situations.

You will be communicating with customers on a professional basis.

Applicant’s skills are to include:

Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, good communications skills, excellent typing skills,
computer skills, and customer service skills. Applicant must be detail oriented and organized.

Job Duties include:

  • Answer service and operator inbound phone calls.
  • Update customer contact information.
  • Open new service orders as needed.
  • Create and update a service ticket tracking log.
  • Utilize technology that we have to maximize your use of time, i.e. Email, Tigerpaw, etc.
  • Update service time logs and technician installation notes.
  • Provide ticket updates to the Contract and Service Coordinator throughout the work day.
  • Keep service ticket status updated daily
  • Make phone calls and follow-ups as deemed necessary by department managers.
  • Contact Customers to confirm appointments as directed by the Contract & Service
    Coordinator.

Previous customer service and scheduling experience is preferred.

Position Summary

Hub City Sprinklers is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our
growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire sprinkler system
service, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position requires a self-motivated
professional who can work independently, communicate effectively with customers, and
maintain compliance with applicable fire protection codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, inspections, and testing of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system deficiencies and operational issues.
  • Conduct wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge system inspections.
  • Replace sprinkler heads, valves, pipe components, and related equipment.
  • Complete inspection reports, deficiency reports, and service documentation accurately.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to customers professionally.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards and local fire codes.
  • Participate in on-call emergency service rotation as needed.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 3 year of experience servicing fire sprinkler systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and related fire protection standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fire sprinkler system drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and in varying environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of fire sprinkler service experience.
  • NICET Certification (Level I, II, III, or higher).
  • Experience with inspections, testing, and repairs across multiple sprinkler system types.
  • Backflow certification.
  • Experience with fire pumps and special hazard systems.
